Look at the sponsor : you know the future of the initiative: the stronger the sponsor , the more energetic the initiative. When do you check checks how strong the sponsor is? When you cannot get yourself out of a situation, you call the sponsor and look at what happens.

Assumption. The sponsor has a limited rationality and limited enforcement powers .

A rationality limited by the time they can devote to study, by political pressures and constraints, by their own cognitive abilities and knowledge at the very moment, their cognitive biases such as halo effect , beliefs, etc. .

A limited enforcement power, as much as results of their top-down injunctions. Rumor has it, there are organizations where the fallen top-down order reaches its target and produces effect. The army ? Churches ?

A " Sponsor " has these three attributes : 1 - power, 2 - resources and 3 - a personal interest in the success of the initiative .

1 - power : high enough in the hierarchy.

2 - resources , in person or by delegation / negotiation . People , things, money .

3 - personal interest , so it’s a person, not a group. Where all are responsible, in case of problems , nobody really is.

Experimentation - skills. Identify the sponsor of the initiative.

Search among stakeholders a person with the three attributes above.

You may end up with several sponsors.

Some sponsors are unaware of their sponsoring the initiative, we need to reveal themselves. Train them in their role, help them.
